Mr. Michael Allen Lisak, 64, of LaPorte, died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at his home.
He was born Oct. 24, 1950, in Michigan City, IN, to Chester and Beatrice (Brueller) Lisak.
Michael was a warehouse worker for Whirlpool. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and the LaPorte Lions Club. He was a Libertarian, and had run for mayor of LaPorte.
On April 17, 1997, in LaPorte, he married Joanne (Biggs) Lisak, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, Tim (Julia) Lisak and John M. Lisak, both of LaPorte; grandson, Alexander Lisak of LaPorte; sister, LaDonna Tarpley of Michigan City; and nephew, Donald Tarpley of Michigan City.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chuck Lisak.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A life celebration will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Cremation will take place and interment will be held at a later date at Salem Cemetery, LaPorte.
