Mr. Gregory A. Thibideau, 52, of Michigan City, IN, passed away to see his father on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, at St. Anthony Memorial Hospital in Michigan City.
He was born Sept. 9, 1962, in Michigan City to Vernon Sr. and Minerva (Parker) Thibideau.
Gregory worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Michigan City Park and Recreation Department. He was good with his hands and did woodworking. He was a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Martial Arts. Gregory loved hunting and riding motorcycles. He loved his family very much and took great care of them. Gregory was a hard-working and honest man.
On Aug. 14, 1982, he married Gail (Sims) Thibideau, who survives.
He is also survived by his mother, Minerva Thibideau of Michigan City; two sons, Joshua (Kaylyn) Thibideau of Trail Creek, IN, and Jacob (Shelby) Thibideau of Michigan City; daughter, Tanya (Jeff) Thibideau of Michigan City; five grandchildren, twin grandsons Caleb and Chase Heuer and Miya, Mason and Kohen Thibideau; two sisters, Penny Oman of Michigan City and Sandy (George) Cox of Valparaiso, IN; and one brother, Vernon (Dorine) Thibideau Jr. of LaPorte.
Gregory was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Diana Marie Parrish.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. A life celebration will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Bill Barnes officiating. Cremation will take place.
