Clarence “Bud” P. Moore, 96, of Englewood, Fla. and formerly of La Porte, Ind. passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020.
He was born May 5, 1924 in La Porte to Clarence and Hulde (Wedow) Moore.
On Nov. 15, 1947 in La Porte he married Eloise May Miller.
Bud worked as a mason and supervisor foreman for Walsh Construction, which built Augusta Nuclear Power Plant. He also worked as a foreman at Bethlehem Steel. He was a former member of La Porte Presbyterian Church, Excelsior Lodge 41, Scottish Rite in South Bend, Consistory 32, Orak Shriners, American Legion Post #0159, and a life member of Veterans of Foreign War. He served in the United States Navy in World War II. He liked to fish, play cards, coach basketball, and he always made himself available to help others.
Survivors include his wife; children, Gail Kujawski, Judi (Joe) Hahn, and Garry (Cindee) Moore; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Shaw; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Marge Hueckstedt and Mary Jane Thompson.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Sarah DiPaolo for her loving care for Bud and his family.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life service will take place at a later date.
