Dorothy Bernice Rosenbaum, 97, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at her home.
She was born June 5, 1923 in La Porte, Ind. to George and Bernice Zabel.
On Oct. 16, 1943 in San Diego, Cal. she married Michael “Mickey” Rosenbaum.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed eating out, especially at Christos. Dorothy also enjoyed golfing and flowers.
Survivors include daughter, Diane (George) McCoy of La Porte; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Richard Zabel, Jim (Doris) Zabel, and Chuck (Ruthann) Zabel, all of Three Oaks, Mich., and Don (Mindy) Zabel of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; son, Randall Rosenbaum; and brothers, Junior Zabel and Tom Zabel.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family graveside service at Salem Cemetery will take place at a later date.
