Kathleen “Kitty” M. Miller, 60, of Otis, IN, died peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, in her home.
She was born Dec. 30, 1953, to Richard Anderson and Eleanor R. Tanger.
Kitty had been a nurse at St. Anthony Hospital, Michigan City, IN, since 1997. She had a great love of animals and had a mini farm of dogs, cats, chickens and her horse. Kitty will be remembered as a fun-loving, generous person who loved to joke. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.
Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Moffitt of LaPorte and Lori (Karl) Mueller of Gilbert, AZ; one sister, Kristel Anderson of LaPorte; one brother, Carl (Terri) Anderson of Michigan City; six grandchildren, Joshua (Nikki) Bradford of Greenville, SC, Katelyn Callan of LaPorte, Britney and Shelby Strebe, both of Michigan City, and Christian Strebe and Vayden Mueller, both of Gilbert, AZ; and one expected great-grandchild, Grayson Bradford.
Preceding her in death were her parents and her grandmother, Hermine Werner.
The family would like to thank Kitty’s extended family at St. Anthony Hospital surgical department, and a special thank you to Amanda Schoof and Karen Engstrom for being a great support to Kitty and her family.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, with Pastor James Bouslog officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 3 p.m. until the service.
