Scott A. Smith, 40, of LaPorte, IN, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 28, 2018.
He was born June 17, 1978, in LaPorte to Lyle Smith and Linda (Biehl) Smith.
Scott was formerly employed as a machinist and in the office at New York Blower. He was trained in Jiu Jitsu before losing his eyesight four years ago. He was a diehard Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Cubs fan and loved to fish.
Scott leaves behind two sons, Carter and Camron Smith of Wanatah, IN; his father, Lyle Smith of LaPorte; his mother, Linda Smith of LaPorte; and three brothers, Steven Wallen of Tamarac, FL, and Joseph Smith and Shane Smith of LaPorte.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019, at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte. Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
