Phillip M. Hagenow, 68, of Westville, IN, died Monday, June 1, 2015.
He was born Jan. 17, 1947, in LaPorte to Edward C. and Elizabeth (Morton) Hagenow.
Phil attended Clinton Township High School and graduated from South Central High School and Purdue University. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. His loves were his family and farming.
On Nov. 21, 1975, in Michigan City, IN, he married Sharon Malecki, who survives in Westville.
Also surviving are two daughters, Theresa (Glenn) Noll of LaGrange, IN, and Jane (Jim) Ranney of Lockport, IL; three sons, Stephen (Noelle) Hagenow and Andrew (Ashley Elcock) Hagenow, both of LaCrosse, IN, and Greg Hagenow of Westville; 11 grandchildren, Christina and Isabella Hurtado, Ethan and Claire Ranney, Caleb and Lucas Hagenow, and Elizabeth, Nathan, Kevin, Paul and Timothy Noll; sister, Elaine (Bob) Kohl of Brookings, SD; and three brothers, Jens (Betty) Hagenow of Westville and Paul (Audrey) Hagenow and Bob (Sally) Hagenow, both of LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Ruth Anne Hagenow and son, Joseph Hagenow.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 202 N. Ohio St., Wanatah, IN, with Rev. Gerald Schweitzer officiating. Visitation will be held at Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, on Friday, June 5, from 2 to 8 p.m., and at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. until the Mass. Full military services will be conducted Saturday in Westville Cemetery, Westville, IN.
