Lillian M. (Thompson) Druckten, 101, of LaPorte, and formerly of Hammond, IN, died Friday, May 1, 2015.
She was born Sept. 30, 1913, to Thomas and Lena (Eisenhutt) Thompson.
Lillian worked for 10 years at the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant as an inspector, and retired from Gladieux Food Service as a supervisor at the Rolling Prairie Toll Road restaurant. Lillian was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and The Rosary Society, as well as LaPorte Hospital Auxiliary.
On May 18, 1935, she married Victor Druckten, who preceded her in death Feb. 2, 1973.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Mary Lodrick; three brothers, Daniel, Kenneth and William Thompson; and two sisters, Mary Ann Peeples and Jeanette Craft.
Lillian is survived by one son, Larry (Betty) Druckten of Crown Point, IN; four grandchildren, Lori (Chuck) Strebar of Crown Point, Debra (Rick) Bridgham of Katonah, NY, Shelley (Bart) Richards of Riverside, IL, and James Lodrick of Westerville, OH; eight great-grandchildren, Erica (Imran) Abbasi, Daniel, Madison, and Benjamin DeGoey, Michael and Patrick Bridgham, and Joshua and Kendall Richards; one great-great-grandchild, Layla Abbasi; two sisters, Catherine Hubner and Ruth Minich of LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Tuesday, May 5, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, LaPorte. Burial will follow in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
