Mrs. Delilah Ann Euler, 82, of LaPorte, died Saturday, April 4, 2015, at her home.
She was born March 3, 1933, in Nappanee, IN, to Preston Boyd Sholly and Sarah Delilah (Yoder) Sholly.
Delilah graduated in 1951 from LaPorte High School and attended LaPorte Business School. She was a homemaker and worked for a short time at Allis-Chalmers Corp. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Order of the Eastern Star, and was a Girl Scout leader, volunteered much of her time at the school and was a PTA member. Delilah’s hobbies included coordinating monthly luncheons with friends, doing puzzle books and Sudoku puzzles, going to the movies, clipping articles, and sending cards and collected crosses. She loved sports, especially March Madness. In her younger years she spent a lot of time at the roller rink and bowled in high school.
On May 14, 1959, in LaPorte, she married Herbert Euler, who preceded her in death on May 20, 2001.
Her parents also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Steven (Sarah Johnson) Euler of LaPorte; two daughters, Karen (Lewis) Euler-Reif of Albuquerque, NM, and Janet (Jeff) Brady of Wilsall, MT; and six grandchildren, Sarah Brady, Brandon Euler, Kathryn Reif, Troy Brady, Dakota Euler, and Nicolas Reif.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Monday, April 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, April 7, from 10 to 11 a.m. A life celebration will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Evan Lash officiating. Interment will follow at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
