Ronnie Keeling, 55, of LaPorte, died July 21, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.
He was born in Greenville, KY, on Dec. 15, 1957, to Leon and Lois (Bratcher) Keeling.
Ronnie worked for GNB Battery for 23 years and for Rossborough Manufacturing for 16 years. He was a member of Christ Gospel Church in LaPorte.
On Dec. 15, 1995, he married Betty Bruce Keeling, who survives.
Also surviving are his ex-wife, Brenda Cooper; his beloved children: two daughters, Misty (James) McAlister and Malisa Keeling; son, Anthony Keeling; two stepsons, Larry McCollum and Rick Uricki; and two stepdaughters, Missy Armstrong and Stacy Yarhmatter; 18 grandchildren; two brothers, Doyle (Leona) Keeling and David (Faith) Keeling; mother and stepfather, Lois and Virgil Browning; stepmother, Wanda Keeling; stepbrothers, Gary Tipton of Stillwell, IN, Benny Tipton or North Liberty, IN, and Cecil Tipton of LaPorte; and stepsisters, Vicky Wood of LaPorte, Paula Fritz of Indianapolis and Patricia Smith of LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by his father; son, Adam Keeling; grandson, Joshua Keeling; and stepbrothers, Tommy, Larry and Robert Tipton.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, with Rev. Rickie Bray officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, July 25, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow the service at Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
