Jerry “Moe” Francis Witsman, 46, of Rolling Prairie, IN, died at 8:10 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital after an extended illness.
He was born May 11, 1967, in Passaic, NJ, to William D. and Eileen “Mickey” (Makowski) Witsman.
Jerry was a certified master welder who had many interests. He enjoyed woodworking, construction, football and fishing. He loved playing card games, specifically pinochle and euchre. He also enjoyed playing pool and Scrabble with friends and family.
Surviving are his mother, brother Louis (Gloria) Witsman of Chicago, nephew Sam and niece Jessica.
His father, brother Rick, grandparents and a cousin, Patty, preceded him in death.
There will be no services. Cremation will take place. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
