Damien Seth Beghtel, 2 months old, of Merrillville, IN, died unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, IN.
He was born Sept. 19, 2014, in Valparaiso, IN, to Kiefer Beghtel and Ashley Jordan.
We are very deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our sweet baby boy. He was a very smiley, happy baby. He enjoyed rides in his daddy’s car, and rides in his stanced wagon at his daddy’s car meets. He enjoyed playing with his mommy and his older brother with his bouncer toys, and watching Baby Einstein. He will be missed but forever in our hearts. Damien will always be our little Ninja Turtle.
Surviving are his parents; one brother, Blake Lopez of Merrillville; grandmothers, Kathy Jordan-Brenner of Washington and Shelli Proctor of Portage, IN; grandfathers, Brian Brenner of Washington, Phillip (Karen) Jordan of Portage, and Darel (Tonya) Beghtel of LaPorte; and great-grandparents, Michael “Mick” and Dianne Bunton of LaPorte.
His great-grandmother, Shirley Sackett, preceded him in death.
A funeral celebrating his life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, at Grace Church of Nazarene, 5360 Clem Rd., Portage, with Pastor Mark Hostetler officiating. Visitation will be at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the service. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, 435 Limestone St., Indianapolis, IN 46202.
