Marie Ann Kilgore, 72, of LaPorte, died peacefully at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at The Arbors of Michigan City.
She was born May 8, 1942, in Michigan City, IN, to Mitchell and Julia Sawaya.
Marie retired after 21 years of service as a Michigan City school bus driver and bus monitor. She attended Springville Free Methodist Church. Marie enjoyed arts and crafts, ceramics and attending ceramic shows with her daughter, Leslie, and also enjoyed landscaping, cooking Lebanese meals, sewing clothes and painting. Marie’s biggest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On June 7, 1980, at Springville Free Methodist Church, she married Daniel Kilgore, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Leslie Bardusk of Michigan City, Mark (Jennifer) Bardusk of LaPorte and Joseph (Janice) Bardusk of Three Oaks, MI; two sisters, Micki Dibkey of Savannah, GA, and Renee (Vic) Migilore of Michigan City; and four grandchildren, Sarah, Anna, Marissa and Mae.
Her parents and her former husband, Donald John Bardusk, preceded her in death.
A funeral celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, with Pastor Paul Richardson officiating. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service.
