Scott Kniola, 50, of Michigan City, IN, died unexpectedly at 2 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in his home.
He was born Feb. 22, 1964, in Michigan City to Gerald and Gail (Paxton) Kniola.
Scott loved NASCAR, fishing, pool and camping. He was an excellent carpenter. He would give the shirt off his back and would do anything for anybody. Scott had a huge heart, which he shared with all of his family.
On May 27, 2008, in Michigan City, he married the love of his life, Carlene (Underwood) Kniola, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Scotty Allen and Jesse Lee Kniola, both of Michigan, and Jacob Kniola of Michigan City; three sisters, Lori (Terry Wisenbaugh) Verboam of Michigan City, Rebecca (Larry) Imes of LaPorte, and Julie (James) Janatik of Otis, IN; two brothers, Brian (Angie) Kniola of Michigan City and Gerald (Tammy) Kniola of Westville, IN; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Michael Blaine; and grandma, Rose Kniola.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
