Tina L. Hunt, 52, of Rolling Prairie, IN, died Thursday, March 6, 2014, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
She was born Nov. 12, 1961, in Michigan City, IN, to Thomas and Liesel (Kraus) Howe.
Tina worked as a valet parking attendant at Blue Chip Casino, Michigan City. She was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Tina enjoyed flower gardening, birds and horses. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and her laughter would light up a room.
On Jan. 17, 1989, in Las Vegas, she married Dalton Hunt, who survives.
Also surviving are her beloved children, Ashley (Jason) Bailey and Melissa Hunt, both of Rolling Prairie; grandchildren, Jason Bailey, Haley Biege, Sarah Hunt, Jordan Bailey and Kacey Hunt; her mother, Liesel Howe of LaPorte; brothers, Tom (Colleen) Howe of Michigan City and Richard (Julie) Howe and Harry (Barbara) Howe, both of Hayward, WI; sister, Eva Cooney of LaPorte; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; grandson, Devin Bailey; and aunt, Rosie Knobel.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 101 St. John Rd., Michigan City, with Pastor Dave Schwartz officiating. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
