Natalie Kay Gilpin, 32, of La Porte, Ind., passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at her home.
She was born in South Bend, Ind., on Nov. 5, 1988, to Greg Gilpin and Brenda L. O’Banion.
Natalie was a professional executive at North Star Stone in Valparaiso, Ind. She enjoyed going to the beach and being in the water. Natalie was known for being goofy and living life to the fullest. She enjoyed laughing and hanging out with her close friends, Mike Crail, Erailia Pena and Melissa Stahl, and family.
Surviving are her mother and father, Brenda (Mark Samford) O’Banion; father, Greg Gilpin; half-sisters, Karly Rogers, Destiny Daley and Nikki Daley; many aunts and uncles, including Arch (Wanda) O’Banion of Rolling Prairie, Ind., Bill (Diane) O’Banion of Hudson Lake, Ind., Patsy Bode of New Carlisle, Ind., Loretta Smith of Indianapolis, Ind., Sandy (Roger) Teska of Hudson Lake, Penny (Joe) Duda of Mill Creek, Ind., Tammy Minne of Elkhart, Ind., Mike (Janet) Gilpin of Florida, Danny Gilpin of Florida, Jay (Charlene) Gilpin of New Carlisle, and Collette O’Banion of Hudson Lake; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman T. (Ethel M.) O’Banion and Jack (Dorothy) Gilpin; and uncle, Norman D. O’Banion.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte, with Deacon Larry Versmesse officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from noon until the service at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
