Dennis E. Barger III, 20, of Michigan City, Ind., passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at Franciscan Health, Michigan City.
He was born Jan. 2, 2001, in Michigan City to Dennis Eugene Barger, Jr., and Amber Lynn Hartke.
Dennis enjoyed football, fishing and basketball. He was a member of American Legion Post 83. Dennis is fondly remembered by his family as a funny man.
Surviving Dennis are his parents, Dennis E. (Jackie) Barger, Jr., and Amber Hartke; brothers, Owen Barger, Kodiak Grayam and Ervin Devaux; sisters, Stephanie (Jeremy) Blacksten, Tabitha Heuck, Kara Devaux, Jennifer Devaux and Kalia Grayam; grandmothers, Carol R. Barger and Jackie Murray; fiance’, Krissy Kramer; aunts, Sarah (Allen) Murray, Janet Hartke and Andrea (Tom) Schmidt; uncle, Mike (Amy) Barger; 3 nephews, Loklann, Yuri and Flynn; and 1 niece, Stella.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeremy Grayam; grandfather, Dennis E. (Ripper) Barger, Sr.; and great-grandparents, Normal Westphal and Floyd (Carrie) Barger.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held Friday from 3 p.m. until the service at the funeral home.
