Benjamin “Damon” Winter, 50, passed away Monday, May 31, 2021, at his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1970, in La Porte, Ind., to Jerry and Sandra (Armstrong) Winter.
Damon collected Coke memorabilia and DVDs. He enjoyed following WWF, completing puzzles and playing computer games. Damon was fond of learning about Civil War history. He enjoyed visiting with his friends and family. Damon will be fondly remembered for his kindness and tender-heartedness. Although his body will be in the grave, Damon will be in the presence of Jesus, whom he has known as his Savior since he was very young.
Surviving Damon are his parents, Jerry and Sandra Winter; 2 brothers, Jerry “Dion” (Laura) Winter of New Carlisle, Ind., and William “Doug” (Claudia) Winter of La Porte; sister, Sandra “Denise” (Matt) Rehlander of Concord, N.C.; special friend, Elizabeth Schroeder of La Porte; lifelong friends, Brad and Kellie White of Rolling Prairie, Ind.; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Oscia Winter and Walter and Malinda Armstrong, and several aunts and uncles.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A graveside service will take place at Rolling Prairie Cemetery at a later date.
