Dorothy M. Wolfe, 94, of Rolling Prairie, Ind., passed away Monday, May 31, 2021.
She was born Oct. 23, 1926, in La Porte, Ind., to Martin F. and Gertrude D. (Nebelung) Schroeder.
Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in La Porte and Ladies Aid, Circle 8 and Altar Guild, all of the church. She graduated from Rolling Prairie High School in 1944, where she was a member of the 44 Club.
On Oct. 19, 1946, in La Porte, Dorothy married Calvin E. Wolfe, who preceded her in death on May 26, 2007.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wilbur, Martin, Wesley, Robert, Howard, Harold, Ervin, and Charles Schroeder.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Linda (Albert) Vollmer of Rolling Prairie, Larry (Cathy) Wolfe of Tipton, Ind., and Ronald (Teena) Wolfe of Rolling Prairie; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Milton Schroeder of Rolling Prairie; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, La Porte. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Rev. Dr. Kendall Schaeffer will officiate. (All times are La Porte time.) Burial will be in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, La Porte. Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, La Porte, is handling arrangements.
