Cassandra Lee Smith, 61, of New Carlisle, Ind., passed away peacefully Sunday, May 23, 2021, at Northwest Health – La Porte.
She was born Oct. 29, 1959, in La Porte, Ind., to Charles and Sharon (Stringer) Moffitt.
Cassandra formerly owned and operated a video store called Flix Video in New Carlisle. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and tatting. She was a huge history buff and loved watching films and listening to music.
Surviving are her mother, of New Carlisle; two children, Joseph and Dorothy Smith, both of New Carlisle; three siblings, James (Susan) Moffitt, Christopher (Amy) Moffitt and Melissa (Paul) Henderson, all of New Carlisle; nieces and nephews, Abby, Will, Jake, Brittany, Clayton (McKenzie), Alexa, Madeline, Tyler, and Holly; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Her father preceded her in death.
Cremation will take place. A private celebration of her life will be held. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, La Porte, is handling arrangements.
