She was born in La Porte on Sept. 19, 1969, to James and Mary Patricia (McDermott) Chudzynski.
On Oct. 15, 2011, in La Porte, she married Steven Kegebein, who survives. Vickie was a loving, caring wife who was the light of Steve’s life. Steve loved Vickie with all of his heart and enjoyed the wonderful life they shared. The loss of Vickie is devastating to Steve.
She was a devoted, loving mother. Vickie enjoyed all of the special times she spent with her children, creating cherished memories. She was a loving daughter and sister who held her family close to her heart and enjoyed their lunches and shopping together.
Vickie was a creative party planner who added a beautiful, thoughtful touch to every event. She was the perfect hostess, making sure everyone was having a great time.
She loved the frequent getaways she and Steve experienced together, exploring new places and restaurants, especially if a destination also had a sweet shop with tasty cakes … one of Vickie’s favorites. She also enjoyed collecting artwork from the many places she and Steve visited. She found joy in their relaxing, peaceful trips to wine country.
