Ronald Jaquess, 65, of La Porte, Ind., passed away Friday, May 14, 2021, at his home.
He was born Feb. 24, 1956, in Fort Worth, Tex., the son of Fred and Lue (Hutto) Jaquess.
Ron came to La Porte 25 years ago from Texas. He met and married Connie Lynn Wood, who survives him. Ron retired as a factory worker for House of Fara just over one year ago. He enjoyed going on walks; reading, especially western books; and being from Texas. He was a Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time just being with Connie.
In addition to his wife, Ron is also survived by his three step-sons, Brandon Michael Proud of La Porte, Zachery Alan Proud of La Porte and Austen Tyler Wood of La Porte.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents.
The family has selected cremation. Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, La Porte, is handling arrangements.
