Clik here to view.Nancy Sue Reese, 77, of Mill Creek, Ind., passed away Tuesday, Feb.16, 2021, at her home with her husband by her side.
She was born Oct. 8, 1943, to Charles and Zelma Kathryn (Walters) Cripe.
Nancy was a factory molder for many years at WireKraft, from where she retired upon the closing of the company. She loved the outdoors, hiking, camping and socializing around the campfire. Nancy always enjoyed shopping at flea markets. She enjoyed her nickname, “Sweet, Kind and Understanding,” and was often seen socializing with friends and family. Nancy was very devoted to her church and church family, and enjoyed decorating the sanctuary for every season and holiday.
On May 5, 1963, in Walkerton, Ind., she married Lewis “Lewie” R. Reese, who survives.
Also surviving are her brother, Deloyce Cripe of Walkerton; 2 sisters, Kay Pletcher and Kari Albert, both of Walkerton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Michael Albert.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte, Ind., with Pastor Joshua Carney officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until the service Monday at the funeral home.
Due to the recent governor’s order, anyone attending the visitation and/or service is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing of six feet.
