Barbara Jean Nahas, 73, of La Porte, Ind., passed away peacefully at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at Northwest Health – La Porte.
She was born Nov. 14, 1947, in Michigan City, Ind., to Nicholas and Dorothea (Connett) Nahas.
Barbara attended Sacred Heart School, La Porte. She graduated from La Porte High School. Barbara attended and graduated from Purdue North Central. She was an avid collector of toys and different collectibles and enjoyed bidding for her favorite collectibles online. Barbara had a passion for animals, especially dogs.
Surviving are her brother, Richard Nahas of La Porte; uncle, James (Janet) Connett; and several cousins and close friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; and sister, Marilyn Ann Nahas.
Cremation will take place. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City, at a later date. Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, La Porte, is handling arrangements.
