Jerry Lee Holt, 85, of La Porte, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020, at Brentwood of La Porte, Ind., surrounded by her family.
She was born Nov. 22, 1934, in Walkerton, Ind., to Jesse and Eleanor (Murphy) Wisler.
Jerry worked at Allis-Chalmers for 10 years and at Scott Forseman for 23 years. She enjoyed sewing, watching birds flock to the bird feeder, and attending the annual Pops Concert at the Civic Auditorium. Most importantly, Jerry enjoyed visiting with her family and attending Bible studies.
On Nov. 18, 1955, in Kingsford Heights, Ind., she married Dee Owen, who passed July 23, 2019.
Surviving Jerry are her children, Curtis Holt of La Porte, Brenda Jones of Rolling Prairie, Ind., and Lana Mitchell of Franklin, Tenn.; 4 grandchildren, Desiree (Steve Morris) Perez of Nashville, Tenn., Brett Jones of Michigan City, Ind., Kyle Jones of Rolling Prairie and Casey Jones of Gunnison, Colo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry Wisler; and sisters, Merrie Gurrola and Mary Dreibelbis.
A private graveside service will be held at Pine Lake Cemetery, La Porte. Pastor Matt Ohime will officiate.
