Patricia “Patty” Kosiba, 60, of Walkerton, Ind. passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020 at her home.
She was born June 27, 1960 in Chicago, Ill. to Gerald and Patricia (James) George.
Patty worked as a bartender at the Fish Lake American Legion for many years. She volunteered there for many events and was always baking up a dish for pot-lucks and parties that were held there. She had been a long-distance swimmer in high school and enjoyed fishing by her home at Fish Lake and watching the Chicago Bears and the White Sox. She loved all the people there, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was always there for you and would always tell you the truth, no matter how much it hurt. She was kind, loving and will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Survivors include sisters Michelle Alivojvodic of Colorado and Deborah Bennett of Kentucky; brother; James George of Indiana; many nieces and nephews; and godson, Rick O’Connell.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Joe; parents; and siblings, Peter, Michael, and Kelly.
A memorial dinner will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Fish Lake American Legion Post 400, 302 Lakeside Dr., Walkerton, Ind. 46574. Burial will take place at a later date at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Ill.
