Betty L. Bradley, 78, of La Porte, Ind. passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2020 at La Porte Hospital and Health Services.
She was born Sept. 3, 1942 in South Bend, Ind. to Albert and Ida (Hay) Wiltfong.
On Sept. 2, 1961 in New Buffalo, Mich. she married Jerry Bradley.
Betty was a bank teller for many years. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and watching westerns, especially those that featured John Wayne. Betty also enjoyed visiting area casinos and cheering on the Colts, Chicago Cubs, and Notre Dame sports. Most importantly, Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Steven (Beth Frushour) Bradley of South Bend, Daniel (Jana) Bradley of Rolling Prairie, Ind. and Kathryn (Jason) Hay of La Porte; daughter-in-law, Cathleen Bradley of La Porte; grandchildren, Jenna Bradley of La Porte, Zachary Bradley of Chicago, Ill., Matthew Bradley of Mishawaka, Ind., Eric (Sydney Lamberson) Bradley of South Bend, Ind. Drake Harke of South Bend, Matthew, James, and Haleigh Frushour, all of South Bend, Jacob (Jessica) Bradley of Rolling Prairie, Nathan Bradley of Fort Wayne, Ind., Jonathan Bradley of South Bend, Austin (Chloe Young) Wilcox of La Porte, Ashley Wilcox of La Porte, Aryan and Jackson Campbell, both of La Porte, and Troy and McKinnley Hay, both of La Porte; great-grandchildren, Oden Bradley, William and Maxwell Thatcher, Landin and Logan Bradley, Adeline and Wesley Wilcox, and Emma Reese; siblings, Michael (Joan) Wiltfong of La Porte, Nancy (Ron) Osborn of New Carlisle, Ila May Curl of New Carlisle, Pam Wiltfong of New Carlisle, and Sue Wiltfong of New Carlisle; sister-in-law, Sandy (William) Sullivan of Rolling Prairie; brother-in-law, David (Donna) Bradley of La Porte; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; son, Joe Bradley; and brother, Charles Wiltfong.
Visitation will be from 3 to 4 p.m. (4 to 5 p.m. New Carlisle time) Saturday, Sept. 12 at United Methodist Church of New Carlisle, where a celebration of life memorial service will follow at 4 p.m. (5 p.m. New Carlisle time) with Pastor Kal officiating.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
Due to the recent governor’s order, attendees are required to wear a mask.
