Mrs. Lucy Elizabeth Fisher, 66, of LaPorte, died peacefully on Jan. 4, 2014, at 2:10 a.m. at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
She was born Nov. 14, 1947, in LaPorte to Raymond and Lucy (Muller) Broviak and had lived most of her lifetime here.
Lucy was a homemaker and attended St. Peter Catholic Church. She was a LaPorte High School graduate of 1966. She loved playing cards, was an avid mystery TV watcher and loved music of all kinds, especially from the 1960s era. She loved her family dearly.
She was married to Bruce R. Fisher, with whom she had her children.
She is survived by three sons, Anthony (Lynlee Larson) Fisher and Andrew (Sandra) Fisher, both of LaPorte, and Ryan Fisher of South Bend, IN; four sisters, Claudia (Tom) Krause of Bradenton, FL, Mary Gick of Severna Park, MD, Carol Baldridge of Walkerton, IN, and Jill (Mark) Lindgren of Indianapolis; two brothers, Ron (Mary) Broviak and Thomas (Jocelyn Bell) Broviak, both of LaPorte; one sister-in-law, Barbara Broviak of LaPorte; and many nieces and nephews.
Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, sister Barbara Lucy Broviak and brother Joseph Broviak.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11:30 a.m. at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, with Rev. Ian Williams officiating. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.
