Alice Louise Stoll, 91, of La Porte, Ind. passed away peacefully at 11:30 p.m. Monday, April 27, 2020 at Aperion Care, The Arbors, Michigan City, Ind.
She was born Oct. 27, 1928 in Michigan City to Reinhart and Isabell (Maxwell) Eikelberg.
Alice was a loving homemaker to her husband and children. She was a past member of the First United Methodist Church, Michigan City and La Porte Grange. Alice worked and organized the pancake breakfast for the La Porte Grange. She was also a past member of the Women of the Moose, where she played the piano. She was a very talented pianist and organist, starting to play both instruments during her childhood. Alice enjoyed playing cards, taking annual trips with the Moose Lodge to Las Vegas and regular cabin vacations, and fishing in Michigan with her family.
On April 29, 1951 in Michigan City she married Vernon B. Stoll, who preceded her in death May 20, 2007.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; three sisters, May Ames, Lucille Stoll and Allene Gondek; and four brothers, Wayne, Ward, Robert and Everett Eikelberg.
Surviving are her two sons, Garry (Sue) Stoll and Greg Stoll, of La Porte; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Katherine, Erik and Matthew Stoll; and one great-granddaughter, Maddison Stoll.
Cremation will take place. Alice will be laid to rest with her husband, Vernon, at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the donor’s choice in memory of Alice Louise Stoll.
