Robert Lee “Bobby” Bush, 49, of Elkhart County, IN, and formerly of LaPorte, died Dec. 20, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born in LaPorte on Oct. 9, 1964, to Carl L. and Joyce A. (McFarland) Bush.
Bobby was loved and cared for by his second family at Foster Avenue Home in Elkhart for over 23 years. Over the years he enjoyed going to the day program, dancing, horseback riding, swimming and being very active. Robert always brought a smile to the faces of those around him. He loved to go to church and worship the Lord by singing.
Surviving are his beloved parents, of LaPorte; three sisters, Christine E. Paul of LaPorte, Roxanne M. (Don) Gunter of Kingsford Heights, IN, and Diana L. (Robert) Craft of LaPorte; and seven nieces and nephews, Timothy (Crissa), Jessica, Jacob, Alex, Paris’, Casey, and Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, on Monday, Dec. 23, at 1 p.m. LaPorte time (2 p.m. EST) with Minister Roger Lee officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 22, from 3 to 5 p.m. LaPorte time (4 to 6 p.m. EST), and Monday for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
