Frances Ruth Grisamore, 75, of LaPorte, and formerly of Walkerton, IN, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Golden Living Center-Countryside, LaPorte.
She was born Sept. 15, 1938, in LaPorte to Wilbur J. and Dora (Felten) Huge.
Frances had worked for 10 years at Michiana Industries, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
On Jan. 9, 1965, in Hazel Crest, IL, she married Kenneth D. Grisamore, who preceded her in death Sept. 11, 1975.
Frances was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Erma Dial and Betty Bracken.
She is survived by her daughter, Lynn M. Mrotek of Hartland, WI; son, Kevin D. (Laurie) Grisamore of Grove City, OH; seven grandchildren; and six sisters, Bertha Schoof of LaPorte, Lydia M. Livinghouse of LaPorte, Doris Martensen of Cassopolis, MI, Carolyn Snider of Attica, IN, Carol (DeVon) Jesswein of New Carlisle, IN, and Wilma (George) Glasshagel of Oxford, OH.
The family will receive friends at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, on Saturday, Dec. 21, from noon to 1:30 p.m. A life celebration will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Ronald A. Brauer officiating. Interment will follow at Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
