Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte, is handling the arrangements for David Lee Pawson, 74 of LaPorte, Indiana, who passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 22, 2018.
David was born November 19, 1943, in Jackson, Michigan, the son of the late Charles Pawson and Wilda (Miller) Jolls.
David retired from the United States Post Office in Gary, Indiana, as a mail carrier. He was a member and Past Master of Freemasons Acme Lodge 83 F&AM in Michigan City, Indiana; Orak Shriners of Michigan City; and The Wall Gang in Michigan City; and volunteered at LaPorte Hospital and in the LaPorte County CASA Program.
He is survived by his wife, Tanis (Carroll), whom he married on May 23, 1981. Also surviving are a daughter, Amy (Brent) Williams of Spring Arbor, Michigan; a son, David (Lisa) Pawson of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a stepson, Ryan (Sue) Wagner of Valparaiso, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Pamala Wagner of Chesterton, Indiana; grandchildren, Andrew and Lindsay Pawson, Lillian Kearby, Ashley Williams, and Grace Wagner; and a sister-in-law, Judy Pawson.
His brother, Roger Pawson, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, September 27, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte, where a Masonic service will follow at 7 p.m.
