James Pruden Sr.
James Sr. served in World War II in the Navy as a top-notch aircraft mechanic. He was an entrepreneur who started and ran a successful business, Pruden Floor Covering in LaPorte, Indiana.
James Jr. served in the United States Navy during Vietnam on the USS Midway as an aircraft mechanic. After his Vietnam service, Jim lived in the LaPorte area, working at National Can before moving to northern California, where he began his long career in the automotive services industry.

A Mass of Christian Burial for father and son will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in LaPorte. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, LaPorte, with military honors.
Immediately following the cemetery service will be a celebration of their lives at VFW Post 1130, 181 W. McClung Rd., LaPorte.
Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
