Zachary A. Byers, 23, of LaPorte, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017, at LaPorte Hospital.
He was born March 24, 1993, in Grand Rapids, MI, to Mark Byers and Sherry (Lower) Curtis.
Zachary loved music and playing guitar. He loved being a father to his daughter and spending time with his family.
Zach is survived by his beloved daughter, Lydia Byers; brothers, Mark Byers of LaPorte and Tony Carl of Michigan City, IN; sisters, Tara Byers-Paulson of LaPorte, Trisha Proctor of Midland, MI, and Danielle Thomas of Whiting, IN; and grandparents, Robert and Vira Lower of LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Eric and Lydia Byers.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon Tuesday, Feb. 28, at LaPorte Seventh Day Adventist Church with Pastor Wayne Morrison and Pastor Ricky Bray officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. Visitation will be at the church Monday, Feb. 27, from 4 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service.
