Teresa “Teri-little d” Detrick, 60, of LaPorte, died Aug. 25, 2013, at her home.
She was born in Terre Haute, IN, on Aug. 24, 1953, to Robert W. and Virginia (Feuquay) Detrick.
Teri was a graduate of Garfield High School and attended Indiana State University, both in Terre Haute. Teri retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 33 years of service. She was a member of the Bowling 600 Club, National Association of Letter Carriers No. 200, National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association, and American Legion Auxiliary 83. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling, camping, playing pool and going to the beach.
Surviving are her beloved brother, Robert (Jamia) Detrick of Johnson City, TN; nieces, Brooke (Russ) Louche of Terre Haute, Robin (Mike) Yorg of Holland, PA, and Bobbie Calloway of Nashville, TN; nephew, Jay Detrick of Bristol, TN; and many grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David J. Detrick.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 6 p.m. with Rev. Roger Ash officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 p.m. until the service. Cremation has taken place.
