Theresa M. Gribble, 61, of LaPorte, died peacefully surrounded by her family on Aug. 19, 2013, at 10:30 p.m. at her home.
She was born Feb. 28, 1952, in LaPorte to Phillip J. and Kathryn P. (Russ) Mannia.
Theresa retired as an office manager for LaPorte Radiology and was co-owner of Shamrock Liquors Inc., South Bend, IN. She was a LaPorte High School graduate of 1970, received her associate degree at Indiana University and became an x-ray technician. She was also a Longaberger Basket consultant. She enjoyed gambling and traveling to Las Vegas with her husband, shopping with her girls, and her evenings out with the Bunco Girls. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Altar Rosary Society. Theresa enjoyed family time and was a devoted caretaker of her mother and mother-in-law.
On May 25, 1974, in LaPorte, she married Dennis C. Gribble, who survives.
She is also survived by three daughters, Dawn (Bobby) Carlton, Allison (Nick) Swanson and Mindy Gribble, all of LaPorte; two grandsons, Drew and Cole Swanson; one sister, Darlene (Doug) Jesch of LaPorte; one niece and one nephew.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at Essling Funeral Home, LaPorte, on Thursday, Aug. 22, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ian Williams officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Burial will be in Kingsbury Cemetery following the service.
