Timothy “Tim” Ray Curry, 55, of LaPorte, died unexpectedly at 11:33 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
He was born May 22, 1958, in LaPorte to Lloyd and Betty (Probst) Curry.
Tim was a truck driver for many years. He had a very big heart and loved to joke around. Tim loved being with his family and regularly attended his grandchildren’s football and baseball games. He also enjoyed NASCAR, playing the lottery, fishing, gardening and collecting clocks.
On April 5, 2008, in LaPorte, he married Christina (Kraus) Curry, who survives.
Also surviving are three children, Todd Curry of LaPorte and Pam Curry and April (Matt) Snyder of Niles, MI; three stepchildren, Amanda Moyao and Ashley (Luis) Negrete of LaPorte and Lora Heller of Vincennes, IN; one sister, Katrina Curry of Kingsford Heights, IN; one brother, Terry (Cheryl) Curry of Kingsford Heights; and 17 grandchildren.
His parents and one daughter, Anna Marie Matthews, preceded him in death.
A funeral celebrating his life will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14, at Lakeview Funeral Home and Crematory, LaPorte, with Pastor Mike Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 p.m. until the service.
