Isaiah Michael Hartz, 19, of LaPorte, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
He was born Feb. 17, 1996, in Michigan City, IN, to Kwasi U. Norwood and Angelique “Angel” Hartz.
Isaiah graduated from LaPorte High School in 2014. He played football and enjoyed sports, cooking and going to church.
He is survived by his parents; grandparents, Dyana (Ron) Kinsey and John (Diann) Hartz, all of LaPorte, and Patricia Orzech of Michigan City; great-grandmother, Mary Mitchell of Michigan City; four siblings; and many aunts and uncles, including a special aunt, Amy Hartz of LaPorte.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry and Luella Norwood, and all of his great-grandparents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, July 10, at 11 a.m. at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte, with Pastor Sandy Tarr officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, from 5 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until the service. A cremation committal will take place following the service and burial will take place at a later date in Patton Cemetery, LaPorte.
