Nancy (Russell) Hamende, 56, of New Carlisle, IN, died Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at her home.
She was born Sept. 7, 1958, in LaPorte to George and Evelyn (Grubbs) Russell.
Nancy was an avid bingo player. She loved to garden and do yard work. Nancy especially loved spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her brother, William (Sally) Russell of LaPorte; sister, Donna Russell of Indianapolis; and four nephews, Jody, Jeff and Jason Melady and Shane Russell.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and a nephew, Tobey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Cremation will take place. Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, LaPorte, is handling arrangements.
