Arda Mae Fuller, of Mesa, AZ, and formerly of LaPorte, died Friday, Jan. 30, 2015, in Arizona.
She was born March 30, 1935, to Donald and Mabel Fuller.
Arda graduated from LaPorte High School, attended Taylor University, and obtained her Master’s Degree in social work from Indiana University. She worked for 30 years as supervisor of the Veterans Administration in Arkansas and in Arizona until her retirement in 1993. Arda loved genealogy, reading, sports and traveling. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mesa since 1985. She served on the missionary committee and was also very involved with AWANA and Master clubs until her health no longer allowed. Arda was also a member of the Colonial Dames and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). When not reading, she did cross stitch and made greeting cards with “Stampin’ Up” stamps.
Surviving are her sister-in-law, Cherie Fuller; nieces and nephew, Diane (Thomas) Garwood, Debbie (Greg) Bray, and Donald (Cathy) Fuller; three great-nieces; five great-nephews; plus many brothers and sisters in Christ and friends!
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Fuller.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Rev. Carl Galloway officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will take place at Wills Township Baptist Cemetery, LaPorte County.
