Richard “Dick” Lee Anderson, 82, of LaPorte, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at IU Health LaPorte Hospital.
He was born Nov. 2, 1931, in Logansport, IN, to Laurel Keith and Alma Velma (Hinton) Anderson.
Dick worked for Plastic Masters for 22 years and then was a tool and die maker for 18 years. He was a member of PRCU and PNA. He enjoyed basketball, baseball and playing pool.
Surviving are his niece, Jody Jimerson of Walkerton, IN; great-niece, Kayla (Michael Hostetler) Jimerson of North Liberty, IN; great-nephew, Ronald (Lynnie Sullivan) Jimerson Jr. of Dalton, GA; great-great-niece, Molly Lynn-Marie Hostetler; great-great-nephew, Jayden Michael Hostetler; and special friends, Dennis and Nancy Dadlow of Salem Heights, IN, and Jim Knoll of LaPorte.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolores Dadlow.
A cremation committal has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, LaPorte. A private family memorial service has been held.
