He was a member of the Voodoo Kings Car Club and was known to other car guys as “Santucci” or “Bondo Bob.” He loved drag racing, going to car shows and restoring cars, adding as much color as he could.
Along with his wife, Melissa, Bob is survived by his father, Troy (Sue) Sanford; four daughters, Krystal (Scott Szpekowski) Sanford of Plymouth, Ind., Jamie (Oleg) Krylov of Chicago, Dena (Garrett) Laufenberg of Pewaukee, Wis., and Nikki (Jose Garcia) Sanford of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; sister, Sandie Sanford of Rolling Meadows; sister-in-law, JoAnne Sanford; eight grandchildren, Cody Szpekowski, Damian Garcia, Chandler Works, Melanie Garcia, Garrett Laufenberg, Owen Laufenberg, Alexander Krylov, and Mila Rose Krylov; nieces, Krista and Jessica Sanford and Brittany (Alex) Hunter; and great-niece, Renae.
