Eulalah Virginia Smith, 86, of Hastings, Mich., passed away with her family by her side on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at her home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1935, in Lima, Oh., to Floyd and Ethel Gertrude (Leedy) Stevenson.
Eulalah was a secretary for over 20 years. She was a charter member of Countryside Christian Church. She loved to sing.
On Nov. 6, 1953, she married Robert Lee Smith, who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 2003.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Lenor, Lazora and Jim.
Surviving Eulalah are her children, Jennifer (Raymond) L. Gress of Hastings, Robert L. Smith, Jr., of Memphis, Tenn., and Gregory (Darlene) S. Smith of Michigan City, Ind.; 2 granddaughters, Tyesha (Curtis) Thaler and Lyndsey (Joe) Tabano; 6 great-grandchildren, Matthias, Arianna, Rebecca, Caleb, Sage, and Tano; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte, with her son, Greg Smith, officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memorial Gardens, Michigan City.
