James Kevin Fuller, 61, of Michigan City, Ind., passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 10:24 p.m. at Franciscan Health, Michigan City.
He was born Oct. 8, 1959, in Hazard, Ky., to Benjamin Fuller and Clara Marie (Combs) Mason.
James worked as a truck driver for G&D Integrated for over 30 years. He honorably served in the United States Army for 7 years and was a skilled diesel mechanic. James enjoyed the company of his co-workers and driving trucks. He enjoyed fishing, boating, grilling, listening to country music, and spending time with his family and cats and dogs. He was a very easygoing man who was loving and liked to joke around. James was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
On Aug. 15, 2015, in La Porte, Ind., he married Kristin (Wood) Fuller, who survives in Michigan City.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sabrina Fuller of South Bend, Ind., Jaimie Fuller of Plymouth, Ind., and Rachel Metzger of Elkhart, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Makenna, Zay’ella, Guadalupe, Leonardo, Javier, Samantha, and Brenda; two brothers, Ben (Janice) Fuller of Canton, Ga., and Warren Fuller of Plymouth, Ind.; half-brother, John Wayne Rouse of Somerset, Ky.; and longtime friend, Richard (Georjinne) Humes of Culver, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Ernie Fuller.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, is handling arrangements.
