Douglas “Doug” L. Hines, 64, of La Porte, Ind., passed away at Northwest Health – La Porte on Jan. 24, 2021.
He was born Sept. 6, 1956, in La Porte, Ind., to Robert and Nancy (Dowden) Hines.
Doug was a fan of Chicago sports. He enjoyed gardening, building and collecting antiques. Doug spent many years playing basketball and softball in the city leagues. Spud had a good jump shot!
He is survived by his brothers, Steve and Rich, one nephew and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place.
