Danny Wilber Salzer, Sr., 75, of La Porte, Ind. passed away peacefully at 11:10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, 2020 at Golden Living Center Fountainview Terrace, La Porte.
He was born March 15, 1945 in La Porte to Harry Salzer, Sr. and Madaline (Smith) Willoughby.
Danny enjoyed spending his time fishing and hunting. He was a great song writer and loved playing his guitar.
Survivors include his children, Danny Ray Salzer of Las Vegas, Nev., Charlene Irene Triplett of Las Vegas, Christina (Patricio) Garcia-Romero of Michigan, Crystal Salzer of Indiana, Dawn Ann Salzer of Indiana, Danny Wilber (Connie) Selzer, Jr. of La Porte, and Ringo Star (Michelle) Selzer of Michigan; sisters, Pattie Williamson and Rose Kniefel of La Porte; brothers, Raymond Willoughby of La Porte and Harry Salzer, Jr. of Missouri; 14 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, Edward Willoughby; and daughter, Tina Salzer.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3 at Patton Cemetery, La Porte.
