Geraldine Marie Guard, 64, passed away Monday, Aug. 17, 2020 at her home.
She was born April 3, 1956 in Chicago, Ill. to James and Myrtle (Graham) Dempsey.
Geraldine was a bus driver for many years for Michigan City School District. She enjoyed reading and the Chicago Bears.
Survivors include her children, David (Kristen Schroeder) Guard, Matthew Guard, and Wendy (Kevin) Dolson, all of Michigan City; grandchildren, Ayden Schroeder, Alice Guard, Victoria Guard, Sean Holloway, Kendra Dolson, and Oliver Dolson; siblings, James (Louise) Dempsey and Judith Lipe; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Guard; and siblings, John J. Dempsey and Cleo Haggard.
The family wishes to express a special thank you to Geraldine’s niece, Desiree (Rusty) Hoaglan for her special love and care for Geraldine.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
