Laura Louise (Williams) Burrows, 59, of Rolling Prairie, Ind. passed away peacefully in her sleep at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at South Bend Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 29, 1961 at La Porte Hospital to Austin Eugene and Bonnie (Grage) Williams. She was raised by her aunt, Blanche Grage.
Laura graduated from South Central High School in 1979. She was a homemaker and a retired truck driver. Laura enjoyed doing crafts and spending time with her dog, Pugsley and monkey, Sammy. She loved attending WWE wrestling events and Alice Cooper concerts. Laura took pride in her grandchildren. She also enjoyed the time that she spent with her husband and grandkids going to amusement parks like Indiana Beach and Dollywood. Laura may have looked very serious most of the time but she enjoyed being silly with her sister and grandkids, including playing dress-up at stores.
She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
On Aug. 28, 1990 in La Porte she married Richard Burrows, who survives.
Also surviving are her daughter, Rhea Hernandez of Canton, Ohio; four grandchildren, Erika, Julianna and Gabriella Cole, and Juan Hernandez; two sisters, Edna Durham of Fish Lake, Ind. and Tonya (Gene) Greene of Walkerton, Ind.; two brothers, Greg (Sue) Williams of Kodak, Tenn. and William (Laura) Williams of Virginia Beach, Va.; several step-brothers and step-sisters; and several nieces, nephews and cousins that she cared a lot for.
Preceding her in death were her father and her mother, Bonnie Price; brothers, Keith and Michael Williams; and aunt, Blanche Grage.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon at Lakeview Funeral Home & Crematory, 247 W. Johnson Rd., La Porte, (219) 362-3100, where a memorial service will follow at noon.
