Debbie L. Madaras, 1962-2020

Debbie L. Madaras, 58, of La Porte, Ind. passed away peacefully at 10:40 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2020 at her home.

She was born April 2, 1962, in South Bend, Ind. to Robert Clyde and Nancy Ann (Lant) Madaras.

Debbie proudly and honorably served in the United States Army. She was a revered chef for many of the restaurants she worked and would always rise quickly to management positions, which led to her first  assistant title with McDonald’s, of which she was very proud, including attending Hamburger University. Debbie also tended bar and worked for Dollar General. Her family was most important to her. She was the happiest when she spent time with her family. Debbie always said “I love you” and gave a hug. She made sure every holiday was special and would help anytime and anyway she could. Debbie was not afraid to voice her opinion to anyone and made sure her point was known. Debbie loved music, singing, fishing, playing chess, pool and softball.

Surviving here are her two sisters, Sherri Schoof and Lorri Madaras; her life partner of 18 years, Beth Blevins Hasko; step-son, David J. Hasko; close great-nephew, Ryder Childress; nieces and nephews, Candice and Danzick Burns, Robin Perkins, James Childress, Crystal Burns, Robert and Randy Madaras, Nicole Schoof, Cody and Dylon Fredenburg and Shyanne Miller; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Tammy Miller; niece and nephew, Shammy Miller and Dalton Butts; and brother-in-law, Randy Schoof.

Cremation will take place.
