Ronald Craig Cowser, 52, of Walkerton, Ind. passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 in Walkerton.

He was born May 10, 1968 in Hammond, Ind. to Donald and Sharon (Mullen) Cowser.

After living in Arizona for a few years, Ronald returned to the area in 2000. He was a welder by trade who worked in the construction industry for many years. Ronald enjoyed fishing and mushroom hunting, loved music, especially classic rock, and loved spending time with his family and friends. Although not a member, he enjoyed hanging out at the Fish Lake American Legion. Ronald owned a “gentleman’s farm,” where he gardened and kept chickens and turkeys. He just loved to be outside and explore nature. A kindly soul, he loved kids and always put others first.

Ronald was preceded in death by his wife, Cassandra and his father, Donald.

Survivors include his loving mother, Sharon; a brother, Jeffrey Cowser of Homewood, Ill.; and an aunt, Beverly Sharo of Lansing, Ill.

A celebration of life service will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 1 at Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 602 Maple Ave, La Porte, Ind. 46350 with Pastor Bob Vale officiating. Cremation has taken place.  The funeral home respectfully requests that those who attend wear a mask or face covering and abide by the CDC guidelines for six-foot distancing and hand washing.

Memorial contributions in Ronald’s name may be made to the family in care of Haverstock Funeral Home.
